It is not about whether or not it is safe to give, but about how can we make the act of giving more than just a transfer of money over an app…

WE is a rebrand of the company GiveSafe-which utilizes BLE (blue tooth low energy) necklaces (beacons) paired with an app to allow people to donate to individuals nearby in need. The rebrand concept is to not only involve a connection between the app user and the beacon holder, but also to include local businesses. Instead of opting to just donate cash to a beacon holder, the app user can instead purchase a donated item from a local business which will go directly to the beacon holder. As a result the local community grows, and beacon holders are supported in the specific ways that they have requested.

The Beacon

The beacon necklace was redesigned to be a pin containing the BLE chip so that individuals could opt in or out of wearing it out in the open.

ICONS OF GIVING

A set of icons were created to be used throughout the visual identity of the brand to represent the various items you can give through the new and improved app/system.

The app was redesigned to have a brighter, more friendly look using the new iconography to maximize understandability of the items you are about to give to someone in need.

IT begins with a…

Part of the marketing campaign of ‘WE’ is a dynamic poster series that proposes that change starts with the giving of an item. This poster series is also translated into a mini poster series for the local businesses that partner with ‘WE’ to give items to signify their participation in the program.

‘WE’ also partners with Square to facilitate easier giving through local businesses that utilize Square’s various POS systems.
